My Story

A lifelong passion for nature, science, and travel led me to earn my BSc in Viticulture & Oenology from Stellenbosch University.

Shortly after graduation (though I missed the ceremony, flying to Argentina!), I embraced the role of a "Travelling Winemaker," working in renowned wine regions such as Mendoza, Napa Valley, Marlborough, Douro Valley, and various locations in South Africa.

My two-plus years of international travel reignited my love for nature, particularly the African bush, which inspired me to become a Sommelier at Singita - Kruger National Park, recognized as Africa's #1 Safari Lodge by Travel & Leisure in 2020. There, I curated exceptional wine experiences for guests while navigating daily adventures, including snake-catching in the wine cellar and wine tastings interrupted by elephants.

After nearly two years in the bush, I returned to the Winelands, gaining experience in wine marketing and sales across Israel, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and the Maldives.

The post-pandemic shift to digital marketing led me to become the first employee at FirstPour, now a world-leading wine marketing agency. I managed and launched successful Wine Communicator campaigns for prestigious brands, winning the Drinks Business - Social Media Campaign of the Year in 2023.

Today, I work independently, consulting for various wine businesses, including the innovative Fine Wine on Tap, which is revolutionizing wine by the glass.
